Frequently asked questions
Does visitor tracking use cookies?
The widget does not set cookies. It keeps a random visitor key in the browser’s local storage so returning visitors keep their chat. In cookie-consent mode nothing is stored until your consent banner allows it.
How is the visitor’s location found?
From the approximate country, region and city that our network provider (Cloudflare) adds to requests, when it supplies them. ZebChat does not buy data from IP geolocation services.
Can I delete a visitor’s data?
Yes. Admins can export or erase a visitor’s data, including their conversations, from the visitor profile.
