This policy explains which cookies and similar technologies ZebChat uses and how you can control them.
1. Summary
ZebChat does not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. Our website, dashboard and chat widget store only what they need to work, mostly in the browser’s local storage rather than in cookies. “Cookies” in this policy covers cookies and similar technologies such as local storage.
2. This website (zebchat.com)
The marketing website sets no cookies and uses no analytics. If you choose a light or dark theme, your choice is remembered in local storage.

3. The ZebChat dashboard
The web dashboard used by our customers’ teams stores the following. All of it is strictly necessary for the dashboard to work or remembers a choice you made.

4. The chat widget on our customers’ websites
The widget runs inside an iframe on ZebChat’s own domain and sets no cookies. The website owner decides whether to use it and is responsible for informing their visitors and, where required, asking for consent.

In cookie-consent mode, the widget stores nothing and records no page views until the website’s consent banner calls ZebChat.consent(true). Visitors can still chat in the meantime. See the JavaScript API docs.
ZebChat sets no third-party cookies. The pop-out chat window uses session storage only when storage is allowed.
If a website enables Cloudflare Turnstile spam protection, Cloudflare processes technical data to tell people and bots apart, under Cloudflare’s own privacy policy.
5. Mobile apps
Our Android and iOS apps do not use cookies. They keep your session in the device’s secure storage and register a push notification token so you receive alerts.
6. How to control storage
You can clear cookies and local storage in your browser settings at any time; you will then need to sign in again, and returning chats on a website may start fresh. Questions: [email protected].
